Well, Olusegun. I read part 3 today, I'll try for part 1 & 2 when I'm freed, and not too tired to concentrate.  I enjoyed the reading. A couple of new points for me - (1) re, the two oxens in a yoke.. and (2) re,  the consideration that Eve was 'in' the man (male). That arrests my thought. I know that according to the second chapter of Genesis, '...He took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman form the rib he had taken out of the man,..." Genesis 2:21. And so chapter 2 seems to me an expansion explaining further the making of man & woman, Genesis chapter 1:27.  //  Gen 2:21 explains exactly how the female portion of mankind was made. Man (male) first, then his female partner, made out of the man's (male) rib. One might say then, that woman was 'in' the man - in the sense that the material for the forming of the woman was all there at the ready it seems. Today, it is no longer so mysterious and impossible to believe this portion of scripture of course, in view of the advancements of science. (Or might it still be mysterious to consider the making of a woman out of bone/rib of male?

So, I'm reading, I'm interested, I'm pondering.  And, I will be glad to continue reading, and seeing what other ponderings rise up!  Thanks for this blog. I love to ponder such things. // p.s.   your name: olusegun. Is that a blog pseudonym, or your real name? Is it a common name from somewhere? What meaning does it have?  How is it pronounced?

Lu, wish I could answer this one. I have pondered
it myself on many occasions. All of your information
in parts 1, 2 and 3 are great!

I have thought about God being genderless for God
is Spirit. I have also thought about God being both
male and female, for God has the qualities of both.

As far as giving an answer, I can't.
91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.

If that isn't a mama protecting her children I don't know what is.

3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

And this sounds like Daddy keeping the children in line.

 What is your opinion Lu?

I have to agree with both you and Pasha. I have had this very same question posed to me by a wise friend when I was at a bible schoolnot too long ago and I would have to say it is a mystery without answer in this age. I believe that this answer is being held for the age to come.

shalom,
