| BIBLICAL FAITH VS. OUR VERSION (GOOD STUFF!!!!) |

okay, [rom.8:24] says that we are "saved by hope" but "hope that is seen is not hope".
sooooo what is hope that is seen then?..........faith!!! [heb.11:1] says that faith is the substance of things hoped for. well the word "the" is actually inserted, it was not in the original text. if ur bible uses italicized words, that word should be italicized showing that it was inserted and not originally there. so faith is substance!!!
so hope is not seen, but faith is the substance of hope, meaning that it has to be seen. which is why it goes on to say that faith is the evidence of things "not seen".
so hope is not seen and faith is the evidence of things not seen. hope that is seen is not hope and faith is the substance of things hoped for. so hope is invisible, but faith is visible.
therefore faith cannot be blind. its more than a strong belief or a trust without evidence. it "is" the evidence that causes you to trust.
the vines dictionary says that faith is truth revealed. meaning that it was at one point veiled and then was uncovered. at the time when it was veiled it was not seen. but when it was revealed then it was seen. the latter of the two is faith.
meaning that faith is actually a knowing because it was revealed to u. Just like peter. he knew that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of God because (as stated by Jesus), the Father "revealed" it to him. so peter got a revealed truth and that is the true definiton of faith.
also, paul said that Jesus was veiled in the old testament, but when the veil is taken away then we behold him. that's faith, when the thing that was invisible is now seen.
paul also says then when we behold the glory of his image this way, we are changed into that same image that we behold, from glory to glory, or from revealed truth to revealed truth. meaning when we see him we shall be like him.
paul also said that Christ in us in the hope of glory. "hope" of glory. hope is not seen, meaning the hope is for a glory that is not seen. but faith is the evidence of things not seen, things that are veiled. and paul says that when the veil is removed we behold the glory. what glory? the glory that was hoped for. when that glory is seen we are changed into the same image, that transformation is the evidence of the glory that was at one time not seen. that's faith. (therein is the righteousness of God "revealed" from faith to faith) [roms.1:17].
so when we behold the glory of the Lord (which paul said was veiled in the old testament) that's faith, or a revelation. when we get this revelation paul says that we are changed into the same image from glory to glory, or from revelation to revelation. meaning its not just one revelation that transforms us. its a continual revelation. and when we see him we shall be like him, according to john. john also said that he who has this hope in him purifies himself even as he (Jesus) is pure. what hope do u think that is? Christ in u the hope of glory.
[heb.10:20] says that the veil is Jesus flesh. well Jesus is the word. John said that the word became flesh, well when he said that there was no new testament. so he would have been referring to the old testament, because that was the word of God at that time. so hebrews says that the veil was Jesus flesh, John said that the word became flesh. so the word became veiled, because the veil is the flesh. but what did John say after that? but we beheld his glory!!!! we removed the veil on the word. but what word? the old testament. this is also what peter did on the day of pentecost resulting in the conversion of 3,000 jews.
to be clear, the veil is the literal interpretation of the old testament. it hide Jesus behind symbolic events and things like that, which paul said was a shadow of this to come but the body is of Christ. meaning they were like a parable of him.
for example: passover and the exodus out of egypt really happen, but it was a symbolic event. Jesus died on the same day and hour that the high priest would sacrifice the passover lamb. paul also called Jesus our passover lamb. when john the baptist saw Jesus what was the first thing he said? behold the lamb!!! why did he call him a lamb and not the messiah or Jesus? it's not as if john didn't know him. remember john and Jesus were cousins. it was because john understood the symbolisms. he understood that they were a shadow of things to come.
so the more we see Christ in this way, the more we remove the veil over the word we will behold the glory of the Lord and be changed into that same image from golry to glory. hallelujah!!!! amen. (checkout my page for more powerful symbolisms)
