okay, if u turn to [gen.1] u will see that each time God created he “said” it or spoke it and it came into existence. So God created thru or by these “sayings”, these utterances.Well that word “said” in the Hebrew is the word amar. Its spelled with the Hebrew letters (alef, mem and resh).
Now there is a word for “speech” that is spelled almost the same as amar. its spelled (alef, mem, resh, hey) this is the word imrah. Notice the only difference between this word and amar is the Hebrew letter “hey”. Well when the letter “hey” is added to the end of a word in hebrew, it makes that word feminine. So this is like the word she as compared to the word he. The only difference is the “s”. so they are the same word, but one is feminine and one is masculine.
Now this word imrah, like I said before is translated in the English as the word “speech”, but by definition it is the Word of God, the Torah. (but this is not the word Torah).Imrah is also translated as the word “word”. It’s the word used in psalms were it says “ur word oh Lord have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee”, and where it says “thou hast magnified thy word above thy name”. its also translated in english as the word “commandments”.
So then the word “amar” (said) and the word “imrah”(speech) are the same word its just one is masculine and one is feminine. It actually says that in the definition. So if the word imrah, is the word of God, the Torah. Then amar is the word of God, the Torah, but masculine. So then God created thru the Torah, his word, his amar.So when john says that in the beginning (which would be gen.1:1) was the word and later said that all things were made by (which is also translated thru) him, remembering that there was no new testament at the time he wrote that, what word do you think he was talking about all things were made thru? It was the amar, which is the same as imrah, the word of God, the Torah.
So that would also mean that the Torah was God, because it said that the word was God. That would also mean the Torah was Jesus because it says that the word became flesh. Does the bible say this? We’ll I would hope that it was already pretty clear that it just did, but if not stay tuned for pt.2 -God bless |
