| FINALLY!!! JESUS WAS THE LAW PT.4!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!! |
|
| |
Okay, finally im able to complete this. Thank u for ur patience and encouragement in letting me know that actually read and enjoy these messages. I hope this is also a blessing to u all.
Okay, simply put, most of us know that Jesus was a high priest according to the order of melchizedek, not after the order of aaron. Melchizedek was a priest before the levitical priesthood was even set up. So his order was first.
It also says that he was king of salem (which is short for Jerusalem), but there was no Jerusalem when it was mentioned that he was king of salem. King david actually gave Jerusalem it’s name. so what Jerusalem was melchizedek king of? The heavenly Jerusalem that descends out of heaven in the book of revelations. So who was melchizedek or mely mel as I like to call him. He was none other than our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Okay, now that we’ve settled that, let’s take a look at [heb.7:11-12]. It say here that perfection could not come thru the levitical priesthood, so another priest had to arise (Jesus/melchizedek). Then it says in [v.12] that if the priesthood changes (transfers), then the law must also change. Now this word for change is different from the first one. This one means a transferral to heaven.
Now that’s really powerful, and to see why turn to [heb.8:4-5]. Here it says that if Christ were on earth he would not be a priest (like the others) because the other priests served the law/copy and the shadow of the heavenly thing.
Then it goes on to explain how these things were a copy and shadow, because God told moses to make the tabernacle (and everything in it) according to the pattern that he showed him on the mount. So that means that everything that moses made including the priesthood was only a replica of the real thing that already existed in heaven. So when Jesus returned to heaven, so did the priesthood.
That’s why [heb.9:1-9] says that all those things about the law and the tabernacle were a figure. That word figure in the greek is the word parable. Meaning all those things were a parable of the real thing. They weren’t the point that God was implying they were symbolisms that we were suppose to interpret. (the word tabernacle in the greek is actually a compound of two words: shadow and bride. So what do u think the tabernacle was a parable of?)
[heb.10:1] says that the law was a shadow of good things to come. [heb.9:11] says that Christ is a high priest of good things to come!!! This is the new covenant that God was talking about in jeremiah, read [heb.8:7-11]. The covenant that God made with the fathers was the parable, he wants to show us what it was all symbolic of.
I mean think about it if the law was worthless and abolished then why in the world would Dad write it in our hearts and minds? When u look at the definition for heart it speaks of the understanding, so what Dad was saying was he would cause us to understand what the law truly meant.
So the law isn’t done away, the parable is. Turn to [2.cor.3:12] paul says we use great plainness of speech, not as moses. Meaning that moses didn’t use plainness of speech. (That word plainness of speech in the greek means: without concealment, without the use of figures and comparisons). Figures and comparisons are parables. So paul was saying that he didn’t speak in parables but moses did.
If you read further it says that moses didn’t use great plainness of speech because he put a veil over his face, that the children of isreal could not steadfastly look to the end of that which was abolished (remember Jesus said it himself that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it).
So the veil was the concealed speech. If u read this whole chapter paul says that the veil (parable), is what kept the jews from being able to see Jesus. that’s why paul could say that they heard the same gospel as we did. Because remember paul’s gospel wasn’t like the gospel of the disciples. Their gospel was their personal encounters with Christ. Paul’s gospel was the unveiling of Christ from the law and the prophets, which is the same thing the jews heard in the wilderness. so what was abolished, the parable (veil).
Now turn to [duet.29:29] it says: the secret things belong to the Lord our God but when they are revealed they belong to us and our children forever that we may do all the words of this law. Now that word secret means something that is covered or veiled. The word reveal means to remove a veil or cover. So when the veil over the secret things is removed we are able to do all of the words of the law. But read it again, notice that the secret things are the law but veiled.
Also that word do is the Hebrew word asah. It also means to become. So when the veil is removed off of the law we don’t just do the law, we become the law. That’s how God writes it in us. It’s the same exact thing that paul said in [2cor.3:15-18]. Jesus was the law, and when we see him we shall be as he is. This is how we take on the nature of Christ.
Okay thats pretty long so I’ll stop here, but im typing the next part right now so I’ll have it to you as soon as your finish ruminating on this one, God bless and I love yall. |

Regarding The Law*-and-* Our Lord and Savior, Our Great God, Christ Jesus: {1. The Law} {2. Christ Jesus}. Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments F8 of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Ro 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law,...
Ephesians 2:14-22 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Greetings, My Brother! Well, First of All...I'm Honoring You In Christ Jesus and Enjoying the Privilege of Fellowship With You and Love in Christ. You Are Spirit, Body, Mind, Soul, Emotions. You Can Speak Audibly, and/or, Use Sign Language, Including Writing...Etc. Language/Speech Allows Thoughts to Be Converted Into a Form Which Allows Others to Know What We Are Thinking. Indeed, There Is Even 'The Mind of The Spirit'. If I Write, or, Speak About a Tree, That Does Not Make Me The Tree. If I Write, or, Speak About Concepts, That Does Not Make Me Those Concepts. Someone Coined The Phrase 'Everything Is Everything'. That Is True, But, Our Rational Minds/Brains Wants Us To Separate Things/Concepts Into Distinguishable Parts. I Think I See What You Are Saying Olusegun, and, Where You Are Going With This, and, I'm Thrilled and Excited For Your Journey and Growth In Christ Jesus...Just As I Am For Myself. Divinity is intellectual, and all intellect Returns Into Itself. I Think There Is Safety and Logic in Separating The Entity From The Thoughts/Concepts/Inventions Belonging to That Entity. {{Bro-ken}} Brother Ken ORR. |

Brother, love what you added and looking into it. Just wanted to say this as sometimes I am not sure what your overall picture is, just know there are some wonderful things in there. This is kinda how I see it in a nutshell. The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart.
Jesus kinda said it like this, "You believe you are good because you keep the law? You are looking at the wrong standard. If you look upon a woman with lust in your heart you have comitted adultery..."
That says it all. The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. The law cannot justify anyone. None good, no, not one.
So, to me what he was saying is that the law was never the actual standard by which salvation and justification would come to men. That was by grace through faith in Jesus. The law was put in place to keep us until the standard, Jesus came to dethrone our old nature and now rule in our hearts.
Yet He did not take down the law. He didn't lower the bar. He showed us where it always was, above the law. He was the bar. He was the standard. The law is found in Him and still stands in society as a shadow of God's righteous standard. If we take down the law we are telling God He is the problem. The law is there to show us who the real offender is. He's not the problem. He's good. He doesn't die. We die.
When Jesus died on the cross our old man / nature died with Him. Here is where we have circumcision of the heart and He now joins us to His life, two as one. Jesus joins us to His life and now He raises us above the law where we now live from a heart joined to His. So it is not a working, it's a joining. And yes, the law is found in Jesus yet Jesus is so much greater than the law for Jesus is the standard. Jesus is what a heart connect to Father is. Here is where fruit of the Spirit is birthed, from our root. So it is not in works but in His life where we bear his fruit. And yes, his life will manifest in good works but works is the product of the life, not the means to build the inner life.
So we don't become righteous by following the law. The law doesn't effect the heart. It wasn't made for the new man. It was created for the old carnal man. And we don't take down the law. God is not the problem. Our old nature is.
The new covenant is like a marriage covenant that now being fused with our bridegroom, two as one, He takes us there.
I like to think of the law as the police. Can an officer of the law change your heart? No but he can lock you up. We were all locked up under the law. Yet we who are in Christ have been given liberty through death with Christ on the cross. Not so we can continue in our old ways. If we do that we will find ourselves again bound to the law for He have left our covering in Christ.
The law roars at us like the roaring Lion of Judah. We are now to do an "about face" and follow the gentle lamb of God. What began in fear of the Lord has been cast out by perfect love.
They are both God. The Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the End.
Most of this can be found in Romans and Galatians, amongst other books in the bible. Anyway, think we may be on the same page there and if not, looking forward to sharing and growing with you. And either way, you got some really good stuff in there that I am really looking forward to getting into. Nibbled around a bit but still have yet to really prayerfully sit down with it. Hey, do you know Terre? He's got great teaching on this stuff too. I can connect you to his blog. |
