The purpose of Whiting Bible Church is to glorify God through Biblical teaching, striving for mature disciples, and the spreading of the Gospel throughout the world.
The main message I would like to get across to people is that God is a God of grace!!! and He loves you very much. One of the reasons for my webpage is to share the "Good News" message with you. To tell you there is hope in Jesus Christ~ I encourage anyone who hasn't given Jesus a chance in their life, to take that step of faith and recieve Him today. He accepts you as you are. You don't have to clean up your life before recieving Him. He will do all the cleaning once you accept Him in your heart. The Christian faith is not a religion, but rather a "relationship" with Jesus Christ. A scripture that many of us have heard by now is, John 3:16 which reads as follows, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Romans 10: 9-13 reads as follows: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.~ God's plan for Salvation is for ALL people. This is the most important decision you will make in life.
The Gift Of Eternal Life Is Received By Faith
Saving faith is not merely intellectual assent. It is trusting in Jesus Christ alone and what He has done rather than what we can do to get us to heaven. “What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved .” Acts 16:30b.31

..... may my life reflect your character and nature in compassion, holiness, and justice. I know you are forever and I want to invest my life in what lasts. Give me wisdom to see through the fleeting temptations of today and to do what honors you beyond my lifetime. In Jesus' name. Amen.

“The need of the alcoholic is not merely sobriety, but salvation. The man or woman who receives salvation will experience sobriety, but with it, many other wonderful blessings from God such as peace, joy, freedom and satisfaction.” The most helpless alcoholics and drug addicts are eligible for the miracle which can make their future the happiest years that they have known. Although the term miracle is currently used in the marketing of human inventions and gadgets or in describing superhuman athletic accomplishments, none of these really qualify. Nothing that man has ever done in his own strength, ability or wisdom should be called a miracle. The Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines a miracle as “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.” “There are three essential factors in every true miracle. First, utter helplessness; second, limitless power; third, faith.” Utter helplessness makes anyone eligible for a miracle. God alone has limitless power. “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37). Raws commented, “When faith brings together utter helplessness and limitless power there will always be a miracle.” Note these three ingredients in reading of the mighty works of Jesus are recorded in the four Gospels.
