I am the mother of two, a boy and a girl. My daughter is 23 and is getting her teaching degree. My son is 27 and has a degree in Sports Journalism. he is currently a sports writer for a paper in N.C. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 30 years! We all have a great relationship.
I currently teach 2-3 year olds in our Sunday school and formerly taught pre k-k. I must admit that I was very uncertain about teaching Sunday school when first approached but I have grown to love it! The little ones are so earnest and keep me on my toes! Sometimes I think they are teaching me instead of the other way around. I love working with children and if I had finished college would have been a History teacher. History is my first love and living in Va. has given me a chance to see and experience many of the sights that I dreamed of seeing. I love to go to the ocean and also like the mountains. Reading is another of my favorite pastimes. |I also do embroidery, not counted cross stitch though, and fishing with my husband. I have rediscovered singing in the last few years and love to sing!
Family is very important to me and even though our parents and siblings are in other states we still have a close relationship.
We received some fantastic news this past July concerning our son. He is now engaged to a wonderful young women named Sarah and they will be married next May 31st! We are absolutely thrilled to have SArah enter our family! She is a wonderful caring young women. Sarah is a nurse and is pursuing her Master's degree to achieve her goal of teaching nursing,. WE are all now in the midst of wedding planning!!
