It was about four years ago that the Lord led us to Oak Park! I'm so glad that He did! This church is full of incredible people with amazing testimonies. We love it!
Andy and I met in college (I was a student, he was a DJ...) and it was love at first bodily injury. After he walked over to the table where I was, I used my feet to push a chair out and it hit him right in the knee. As he went limping off, I guess he knew that love was in the air. Or as Andy is fond of saying,"She knee-capped me so I couldn't get away. That's why we're together." We dated occasionally until God showed up and showed out...
Many of you will recall the Brownsville Revival. That's where Andy and I gave everything to the Lord and were radically saved (even though both of us had grown up in church). We both received the Baptism of the Spirit on the same night and later that evening were praying for a homeless man who had gotten slain in the Spirit in the middle of the local Shoney's! God was doing incredible things! Later on, the Lord spoke to us separately and confirmed the we were to get married.
So, I married my sweetie a little over ten years ago (time flies when you're having fun...) and started on the adventure of a lifetime! We saw many miraculous things. Healings, signs and wonders, deliverances, transformed lives.... Jesus is just cool isn't He? I was healed in '99 of scoliosis so that I could have Collin. (They had said that I wouldn't carry a baby to term because my spine was so twisted...)
But GOD!...
I got pregnant and had my precious little boy (after 14 hours of labor and much weeping and gnashing of teeth...) in November of '02! Collin Josiah has been such a little blessing to us! I think that my guys are the best!
We can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for us in the future. I know that His promises will come to pass and that the next level of things we can't begin to fathom IS on the way!
2:3 For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
